Geoff Uglow - Royal Scottish Academy | National Galleries of Scotland
Geoff Uglow will be included in the major new exhibition 'Ages of Wonder' at the Royal Scottish Academy, which takes its starting point from the moment in 1910 when the RSA transferred a number of significant works to the National Collection. 'Ages of Wonder' will, for the first time in over 100 years, reunite these paintings and sculptures with the RSA collection, bringing together a selection of over 450 works by more than 270 artists and architects that will highlight the significant part played by the RSA in Scottish cultural over the past two centuries.
As the largest collections-based exhibition that the RSA has ever mounted, this exhibition will be the first time the entire RSA building has been given over to the display of the Academy’s collections, in a major partnership with the National Galleries of Scotland. Geoff Uglow will be featured alongside recent Diploma Works by Callum Innes and Alison Watt, works commissioned by Calum Colvin, Kenny Hunter and Richard Murphy, and Old Masters such as ‘The Adoration of the Magi’ (1540) by Jacopo Bassano.
