Albert Marquet

19 May - 26 June 2010
Overview

This major exhibition of Albert Marquet paintings will be the first in London since the exhibition at Wildensteins in June 1985; coincidentally, the same month Connaught Brown first opened their doors. Marquet was one of the Fauve artists along with Matisse, his closest friend and ally, Vlaminck, Derain and Van Dongen. Known for his romantic vistas, coastal landscapes and portraits, this exhibition will feature more than a dozen of his works.
